Shop fabricated means a tank or welded assembly is built in a dedicated fabrication facility rather than constructed entirely at the customer’s site. Shop work allows fabricators to manage material preparation, fit-up, welding, fixtures, quality checks, and documentation in a controlled environment. The finished assembly can then be delivered for installation, integration, testing, or use within the customer’s broader system.
