A fusion welder joins compatible metal components by applying heat until the material at the joint becomes molten or softened and forms a bonded connection as it cools. Depending on the application, the work may use TIG, MIG, laser, or other welding processes. The welder controls preparation, heat input, shielding, fit-up, and inspection requirements to protect joint quality and material integrity.
